MAXINE B. DAUPHNEY - 67

MARCH 30, 1957 ~ JULY 2, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife and mother, Maxine, on July 2, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Lon and Effie (MacLeod)Donovan . Maxine is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Sheldon; her sons Dana and Shawn (Sheryl); her daughter Jolene (Seumas); and her grandson, Gage. She will sadly be missed by her brothers Reece and Deo, her sisters Rita (Gary), Roxanne, Sylvia, Viola (Darrell), Mary (Hector) , Hilda and her many relatives, family and friends. Besides her parents, Maxine is predeceased by her brother Lonnie and sister Janet, all of Ingonish Beach, NS. Cremation has taken place, and a family service will held at a later date.

Rest in Peace, Maxine; We love you.

DONALD "BUCKY" WILFERD CARMICHAEL

MAY 5, 1964 - APRIL 7, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Donald Wilfred Carmichael on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at his home in Baddeck, Nova Scotia. He was the son of the late William and Thelma (Forward) Carmichael. He was predeceased by his sister, Peggy and his brothers, Billy and Joey. He is survived by his son, Jacob Carmichael, Baddeck, adopted daughter Lindsay Carmichael, Edmonton, AB, sisters Beatrice Carmichael, Moncton, NB, Michelle Carmichael Clark (Brad) Sussex, NB, and Joan Crocker, Riverton, NS, as well as aunts, an uncle and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Donald loved the outdoors, fishing, and hunting and was a passionate gardener. Every seed, flower, plant, tree and bush sprang to life and thrived with his caring touch and green thumb. Many beautiful gardens in Victoria County and beyond were the result of his passionate handiwork. He was a caring father and had unconditional love for his son. He loved taking Jacob for drives, watching movies together, playing outside, hide and seek, playing in the snow, having fun and enjoying the great outdoors. Donald loved to watch Jacob playing basketball and hockey and was very proud of his skills and sportsmanship and was constantly giving updates on Jacob's success in school and sports. Donald was a hard, committed worker throughout his life, never leaving a job undone. He was a wonderful brother and friend, kind, gentle, loving and forgiving. His beautiful spirit and smiling face will be dearly missed and remembered by his family and all those who knew him. Cremation has taken place. The family will hold a private service at a later date. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.

Patricia Ann (Annie) MacInnis, 80

Annie MacInnis passed away Feb 16, 2024, at home,248 Old Margaree Road, Baddeck, NS. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Katherine (Corbett)Oliver. Annie was a member of Greenwood United. She enjoyed many activities over the years, such as baking, crafts, music, watching the Blue Jays, and picking many, many berries. She was the happiest when the house was full of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Annie also spent many hours volunteering and was an active member of church choirs over the years. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Ian, sons Thomas, Eric (Jamie Lynn), and Ryan (Erica). Daughters Wanda MacDermid and Alana (Kevin), brothers Brian, Billy, Robert and Fabian. Sisters: Donna, Jane, Sharon, Cathy and sister-in-law Ann Marie. She is also survived by grandchildren: Sandy (Kelly), Julius (Kelsey), Trescha, Norah and Elizabeth. Great grandchildren: Logan, Ciaran, Kelsey and Natalie. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Wayne, brother-in-law Wesley, son-in-law Clarence and special brother-in-law Bruce. A service will be held in the spring. We would like to thank home care, continuing care, EHS and Dr Genge for all their help and care.
